Netherlands boss Bert van Marijk has slammed defender John Heitinga following his side's 2-1 defeat to Bulgaria.
Arsenal striker Robin van Persie handed Van Mawijk's men a first-half lead. However, with Ivelin Popov levelling the score after the break, the Bulgarians were able to emerge victorious after capitalising on Heitinga's misplaced pass in stoppage time.
"A pass like Heitinga's is just forbidden," he told SBS. "You just don't do that. Now we have lost. That's not good.
"I think the first half was good in comparison with our last games. We didn't create chances, but there were some situations where we should have scored. We haven't been ourselves."
Van Marwijk's side have two remaining friendlies against Slovakia and Northern Ireland.
