Former AC Milan forward Ruud Gullit believes that the Netherlands and Germany lack real star players.
The Dutch legend said that while both sides have very good players, neither team has someone who can match up to Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi.
"The German national team has developed wonderfully," he told Bild. "[Their] attacking football is fantastic. [They] have one of the best teams in the world.
"Stars? There are no stars. There are very good players, some excellent ones and exactly three stars.
"Stars to me are just Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar. Marco Reus is an excellent player but not a super-super-super star."
Netherlands face Germany in a friendly on Wednesday evening.
