Netherlands and USA get the ball rolling in the knockout stages of the 2022 FIFA World Cup when they square off at the Khalifa International Stadium on Saturday.
The Oranje enjoyed an unbeaten group-stage campaign as they picked up two wins and one draw in their three matches to finish top of Group A with a one-point lead over runners-up Senegal.
Louis van Gaal's men are now unbeaten in each of their last 18 matches across all competitions, picking up 13 wins and five draws since a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Czech Republic in June's Euro 2020 last-16 clash.
A first-half strike from Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic was enough to fire USA to a third consecutive knockout-stage appearance as the Stars and Stripes secured a 1-0 victory over Iran in last Tuesday's group finale.
Prior to that, Gregg Berhalter's men were involved in a share of the spoils in their opening two games in Group B, where they played out a 1-1 draw with Wales on November 21 before holding out for a goalless draw versus England four days later.
Here, Sports Mole looks at how the squads of Netherlands and USA stack up against each other ahead of Saturday's highly-anticipated last-16 matchup.
