Newcastle United have come from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Club Brugge in tonight's Europa League encounter in Belgium.
The Magpies conceded twice inside the opening 20 minutes, but goals from Vurnon Anita and Shola Ameobi before the break helped salvage a point for the Magpies.
Both sides created chances in the opening stages but it was the hosts who took the lead on 14 minutes when Ivan Trickovski showed great control before firing in.
It got worse for the Magpies four minutes later as Jesper Jorgensen's long-range effort found its way past Tim Krul.
Newcastle should have got on the scoresheet midway through the half, but Sylvain Marveaux missed the ball completely after good work from Gabriel Obertan and Shola Ameobi.
The visitors pulled one back three minutes before the break as Vurnon Anita rifled in an unstoppable volley after Brugge failed to clear their lines.
Alan Pardew's men were then level almost instantly when Shola Ameobi was played in by brother Sammy before poking the ball home.
Newcastle started the second half strongly and could have taken the lead when Shola Ameobi headed over the bar.
The striker was in the thick of the action soon after, but his low effort was pushed away.
Yohan Cabaye then inadvertently hit the woodwork with his free kick when he was trying to find a teammate in the box.
Brugge had chances late on, but Newcastle goalkeeper Krul was equal to their late siege to keep the scores level.
