Newcastle United boss John Carver is adamant that winger Rolando Aarons will not be ruled out for the rest of the season.
The 19-year-old burst onto the scene early in the campaign with a string of fine performances from the bench, but has been unable to play for the Magpies since November due to a series of hamstring injuries.
However, Carver has dismissed reports that suggested the winger will miss the rest of the campaign due to his injury problems.
He told the club's official website: "Rolando will not be out until the end of the season. He had a tough physical session a couple of weeks ago and reacted to it. We put him through a scan but found nothing.
"We are going to refer him to another specialist for a third opinion to see what happens when those results come back.
"The good news was he hasn't torn or pulled his hamstring again so we're sending him to the specialist to see if there's anything else that may be wrong."
Aarons has made five appearances for Newcastle this season, scoring two goals.
