Newcastle United midfielder Vurnon Anita has recovered from a back injury in time to face Swansea City this weekend.
The Dutchman was stretchered off during the Magpies' 2-2 draw with Southampton on the opening day of the season.
Early reports suggested that Anita was facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines, but the 26-year-old is now available for his side's trip to South Wales on Saturday.
"He's had a little bit of grief about that because it's been a proper miraculous recovery - stretchered off on Sunday and fit to train on Wednesday," Newcastle assistant coach Paul Simpson is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
"But it was a real concern at the time because he took a really heavy, awkward landing in his fall. I'm going to have to give credit to the medical team. They have laid their magic hands on him and he's made a really good recovery."
Anita made 21 appearances in all competitions for Newcastle last season.
