Newcastle United striker Demba Ba is confident that he can rediscover his goalscoring form of last season after scoring against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.
The Senegalese striker netted the opener as the Magpies beat Spurs 2-1 at St James' Park to get their campaign off to the perfect start.
Ba, who went on a significant scoring drought after the arrival of Papiss Cisse in January, is certain that he can get back to his best.
"I spent a lot of time after games, watching them again the next day on my own and analysing them, seeing what I had to do to change the bad stuff," Ba said. "That's why I'm back on the score sheet.
"A lot of things were going on last season, I was playing on the side and out wide. I wasn't getting enough of the ball. I was coming too deep and they were putting the ball behind defences and I wasn't there, so I worked on that.
"I'm happy I scored and the team won. It's been a good opening day for us."
Newcastle next face Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday.
