Newcastle United head coach John Carver has insisted that his side must pick up a result against Leicester City this weekend.
The Magpies travel to the King Power Stadium on Saturday following a run of seven successive defeats, which has seen the pressure mount on Carver.
Leicester have hauled themselves out of the bottom three and to within four points of Newcastle after winning four of their last five games, and Carver says that he is expecting a tough match against Nigel Pearson's side.
"Four weeks ago Leicester were dead and buried but Nigel has turned them around and they are in with a chance of staying up," Carver told BBC Sport.
"It's the biggest game of the weekend, and huge for both sides. We need to stop this rot and get a result."
Carver has won just two of his 16 games in charge of Newcastle.
