The Football Association has confirmed that Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse and Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph will both serve three-game suspensions.
Cisse has received the punishment for his elbow on Everton full-back Seamus Coleman during Newcastle's 3-2 victory at St James' Park on Sunday evening.
Now, the Senegalese striker will sit out fixtures against Burnley, Leicester City and Chelsea.
Meanwhile, England midfielder Delph has failed with his appeal against the red card that he received last time out against Sunderland.
The 25-year-old was dismissed by referee Martin Atkinson for a lunge on Black Cats playmaker Jordi Gomez, which has ruled him out of clashes against Crystal Palace, Blackpool and Leicester.
