Newcastle United defender Mathieu Debuchy has revealed that he is enjoying life at the club, despite a series of mixed displays since his arrival at St James' Park.
Debuchy moved to England from Lille in January, but after failing to live up to his reputation in his first four months at the club, the French international has admitted that he is eager to turn things around next year.
The 27-year-old told the Shields Gazette: "I feel great here in terms of my life. I've been made welcome by everyone at the club, particularly the supporters, even if the results have not been as we would have wanted.
"However, I want to be stronger and play better for Newcastle next season. I will be better equipped to do that when we return."
The full-back featured 14 times for Newcastle last season.
