Newcastle United defender Paul Dummett has insisted that he wants to focus on his club football rather than his international career with Wales.
The 22-year-old was called up for his country's final two World Cup qualifiers last month, but he failed to take to the pitch for either game.
Despite admitting that it was a thrill to be involved with the national team, Dummett is keen to continue working hard for Newcastle.
"I just need to concentrate on doing well for Newcastle. That is my main priority," he told the Evening Chronicle.
"It has been a dream come true - but I need to keep working. The people at Wales told me to enjoy the experience and go away and keep working hard."
Dummett has made six appearances in all competitions for Newcastle this season, scoring one goal during that time.
