Burton Albion manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is reportedly in the running to become head coach of Newcastle United.
The Magpies are expected to part ways with John Carver this summer after narrowly securing their Premier League status.
Hasselbaink has earned praise for the job that he has done with Burton, having steered the Brewers to the League Two title this season after taking charge in November, and The Sun reports that he is on Newcastle's shortlist.
The 43-year-old Dutchman has won 19 of his 30 games in charge, drawing eight and losing just three.
Former Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup has also been linked with the Newcastle role.
