Michael Laudrup has hailed Swansea City's 2-1 win over Newcastle United as his team's "best away performance of the season".
Michu and Jonathan de Guzman scored the goals that helped the Swans record a second Premier League win on their travels this afternoon, despite Demba Ba's late goal giving them a scare.
The Dane said that his team's performance was better than the 5-1 hammering they doled out to Queens Park Rangers on the opening day of the season.
"It was a fantastic win," said Laudrup. "We knew it would be difficult because they needed a win after losing at home last week, but it was a great performance.
"It was definitely the best away performance of the season – even better than QPR and Liverpool. We showed some great possession and counter attacking throughout the game and created at least eight or nine clear big chances.
"The only downside was that we had to suffer a little at the end, but overall I'm very happy."
Swansea are now in 10th place.
