Newcastle United have confirmed that the club have appealed against the red card shown to Loic Remy in Tuesday night's draw with Norwich City.
The French striker was dismissed in the 82nd minute after clashing with Norwich midfielder Bradley Johnson, who was also sent off following the altercation at Carrow Road.
"Newcastle United can confirm that the club has lodged an appeal with the Football Association for the wrongful dismissal of Loic Remy during Tuesday's Barclays Premier League fixture with Norwich City at Carrow Road," a statement on the club's official website read.
Norwich have confirmed that they have appealed Johnson's dismissal.
