The Football Association have announced that Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has accepted a charge of misconduct following his alleged headbutt on Hull City midfielder David Meyler.
The 52-year-old was charged by the English governing body after he appeared to push his head towards Meyler following a touchline exchange during the Magpies' 4-1 defeat last weekend.
Despite accepting the charge, Pardew, who was issued with a £100,000 fine by the North-East outfit, has requested a personal hearing, the date of which is yet to be decided.
Reports have claimed that Pardew could be absent for the remainder of the season as a result of a possible 10-game stadium ban.
Pardew, who will not face any criminal action for the alleged headbutt, apologised after the match at the KC Stadium.
