Alan Pardew has launched an attack on football presenter Ray Stubbs over his coverage of Yohan Cabaye.
The Newcastle United midfielder faces a four-game ban if found guilty of violent conduct towards Brighton's Adam El-Abd in Saturday's 1-0 FA Cup loss.
Pardew said that the incident, which was missed by the referee at the time, was blown out of proportion by ESPN anchor Stubbs.
"Someone mentioned how Ray Stubbs was so ferocious about it," Pardew said.
"His job is to present and ask questions.
"When the professionals on that show both say 'it wasn't a foul' I don't see why he pursued it."
The result of Cabaye's appeal will be announced today.
