Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has praised his side after beating Cardiff City 2-1 in their Premier League match.
Loic Remy scored a double as the visitors came away with all three points from the Cardiff City Stadium, and after Monday night's defeat to Everton, Pardew was delighted with how his side responded.
"We played some unbelievable football, we can reach the heights but we need to see the game through," he told BBC Sport.
"We made one mistake in the game and it's gone in the back of the net. Other than that we were much more solid at the back and we should have a penalty that should have killed the game.
"It was a lot better today for the 90 minutes than we were against Everton on Monday night."
Newcastle are 10th in the Premier League table following today's result.
