Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has claimed that Papiss Cisse can quickly rediscover his top form when he returns to the squad next month.
Cisse was forced to undergo knee surgery in the summer, and has watched his teammates at the start of the new season, but Pardew is certain that the Senegalese striker will quickly make an impact for the Magpies.
"With Papiss there's a possibility he could score a lot of goals in this team, so I wouldn't write him off by any stretch of the imagination," the Newcastle boss told members of the media.
"He's two weeks away from training so he's not far away and that's something that seems to have been forgotten."
Newcastle have picked up just one point from their opening two Premier League games.
