Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has declared that Mathieu Debuchy has fitted in seamlessly during his first week of training at the club.
Debuchy completed his move to St James' Park last week and is in the Magpies squad to face Norwich City this afternoon.
Pardew admitted that he is excited by the prospect of handing the French international his Newcastle debut at Carrow Road.
He told the club's official website: "Mathieu has come in and been accomplished. He's not really ripped any trees up but he just looks like a proper, senior player who knows the game.
"I haven't had to give him too much information, but a few of our wide players haven't had too much joy against him.
"I'm really looking forward to seeing him in a Newcastle shirt - I think he will add some real quality to us."
Newcastle travel to Norwich five points behind the hosts and just two off the relegation zone, sitting 15th in the Premier League table.
