Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has revealed that he will sit down with midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa when he returns for pre-season training to discuss his fall-out from the France team at Euro 2012.
The 25-year-old is amid disciplinary proceedings from the French Football Association following a dressing room bust-up after France's 2-0 defeat to Sweden in the group phase of the European Championships.
"I haven't really studied what went on with France at the Euros and I won't get the real version until I speak to Hatem," said Pardew.
"He doesn't come back until a lot later in pre-season because he and Yohan Cabaye need some rest. Certainly I will have a conversation with him because I want him to pick up where he left off for us, which was in a good place."
Samir Nasri, Jeremy Menez and Yann M'Vila are also under investigation by the French governing body.
