Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has claimed that his side "lacked discipline" after they drew 1-1 at home to Aston Villa on Sunday.
Ciaran Clark gave the visitors the lead before Hatem Ben Arfa's long-range effort earned a point for the Magpies.
"I can't say we deserved to win and you could argue Villa did," Pardew told BBC Sport. "We were a bit funny, lacked discipline and our set-plays were awful.
"It was a nightmare from a coaching point of view."
The draw has left Newcastle 10th in the Premier League table after three games.
