Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has admitted that his side are "desperate" to pick up their first Premier League win of the season when they face Leicester City.
Pressure has been growing on the 53-year-old as the Magpies have struggled since the start of the campaign, but he feels that a victory against the Foxes at St James' Park will change the atmosphere at the club.
Pardew told the club's official website: "The most important thing is that we win the game on Saturday, therefore if we keep hitting those barriers in our work rate, in our commitment, in our desire, then we will get that win.
"This club needs a win, for our fans, for our club and everyone associated with it, so I'm desperate for that win this Saturday and I really hope we get it."
Newcastle are 18th in the Premier League ahead of their clash against Leicester.
