Newcastle United defender Mike Williamson has insisted that manager John Carver has been "fantastic" with the players since taking charge.
The 50-year-old was appointed Magpies boss a fortnight ago and will remain in the hot seat until the end of the season.
Williamson has said that Carver has managed to get the players to understand what they should be doing, despite winning just one of his six games so far.
"John Carver has been fantastic in the dressing room," Williamson told Newcastle's official website.
"He is getting people to understand their roles and makes it clear to anyone coming into the team what he expects from them."
Newcastle drew 1-1 at home to Stoke City on Sunday afternoon.
