Oxford United manager Michael Appleton has insisted that Kemar Roofe will not leave the League Two club this month.
The 23-year-old, who scored twice during yesterday's 3-2 FA Cup win over Premier League side Swansea City, has recently been linked with Newcastle United.
However, Appleton has told the Magpies and any other potential suitors that the midfielder is not for sale.
"He is an Oxford United player and he is happy to be an Oxford United player and he doesn't want to go anywhere as he is enjoying his football here and improving day by day," he told reporters.
Roofe joined the U's from West Bromwich Albion for an undisclosed fee in the summer.
