Lille defender Mathieu Debuchy remains keen on a move to Newcastle United despite failing to join the club in the summer.
The France international, who impressed many at Euro 2012, was wanted by Magpies boss Alan Pardew but was denied a move by the French club who deem the right-back as a key player.
However, with speculation surrounding the future of Danny Simpson, Debuchy has welcomed winter interest from Newcastle.
"The president (Michel Seydoux) did not want me to go to Newcastle but yes, I was disappointed," said Debuchy.
"I hope there will be other opportunities but I'm 200% committed to Lille."
Debuchy has played over 300 times for Lille.
