Montpellier HSC chairman Laurent Nicollin has told Newcastle United to make him an offer that he cannot refuse if they want to sign Remy Cabella in January.
The 23-year-old has been linked with a move to St James' Park in recent days, with director of football Joe Kinnear reportedly in contact with the Ligue 1 outfit over a potential transfer.
Although Nicollin refutes that there is an existing line of communication between the clubs, the 70-year-old has done little to dissuade potential suitors by claiming that he would sell for the right price.
Asked whether or not the Magpies had contacted him over Cabella, the Frenchman told RMC: "Not at all, I don't speak English. Agents have called me, but I am on holiday. We will see, on Monday.
"Anyway, there is absolutely no contact with that club. Remy is at the club and I hope he will remain until June. Of course, there are some offers you cannot refuse."
Cabella, whose contract at Montpellier expires in 2016, has made 18 appearances for the club so far this term.
