Brighton & Hove Albion defender Lewis Dunk has reportedly attracted interest from Newcastle United.
Steve McClaren is believed to have already started his transfer plans after recently being appointed the new Magpies boss, and adding defensive options to his squad is likely to be a priority.
Dunk was targeted by Derby County during McClaren's time with the Rams, and The Mirror claims that he remains eager to sign the centre-back, who is valued at close to £5m.
Mike Williamson and Fabricio Coloccini were the regular defensive pairing for Newcastle, who were without Steven Taylor for much of the season due to injury.
Everton, West Ham United and West Bromwich Albion have also been linked with Dunk.
