Newcastle United are reportedly considering an approach for Guingamp manager Jocelyn Gourvennec at the end of the season.
The Magpies appointed John Carver until the end of the current campaign, following Alan Pardew's decision to join Crystal Palace.
With United struggling for form of late, L'Equipe claims that the North East club are looking to Gourvennec to lead the club from this summer onwards.
However, Saint-Etienne coach Christophe Galiter and Lyon supremo Remi Garde are also thought to be in the reckoning for the Newcastle post.
Next up for Newcastle is a trip to face Liverpool in the Premier League on Monday evening.
