Newcastle United have reportedly set their sights on signing Rennes winger Jeremy Doku, who would be part of another influx of new signings at St James' Park this summer.
The 19-year-old has struggled with injuries this season, meaning that he has only made nine Ligue 1 appearances for Rennes this season, but he has been labelled as an exciting prospect.
Doku already has 10 senior Belgium caps to his name, during which time he has netted two goals for his country, and is believed to have also been tracked by Liverpool.
Chronicle Live reports that the youngster is valued at £22m but that is unlikely to be a barrier for the Magpies after their takeover last year, as they continue to overhaul their playing squad.
The Belgian international is a versatile player, who can operate on either the right or left wing, but would need to be assessed having had many slight hamstring and knee injuries so early on in his career.
Since arriving at Rennes in 2020, Doku has scored four goals and provided five assists in 49 appearances for the club.
