Newcastle United have reportedly submitted an offer to Hertha Berlin for their striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga.
Following the departures of Loic Remy, Shola Ameobi and Luuk de Jong at the end of last season, it is widely believed that manager Alan Pardew has made the addition of at least one striker to his squad a major priority this summer.
Lasogga is one of Pardew's targets, with talks over a £7m switch to Tyneside already underway, according to The Chronicle.
The report added that the 22-year-old, who scored 13 goals in the Bundesliga last term, has already visited Newcastle's training ground in Benton.
The Magpies could face competition for his services from Hamburg.
