Newcastle United are interested in former Middlesbrough striker Jeremie Aliadiere, according to reports in France.
The 29-year-old has scored seven goals in 16 games for Ligue 1 side Lorient since moving from Wearside, despite suffering a string of injuries last season.
According to L'Equipe, Magpies boss Alan Pardew is keen to add the Frenchman to his squad in the January transfer window.
Aliadiere came through Arsenal's youth ranks before moving to Middlesbrough in 2007.
