Newcastle United are reportedly planning a bid for Swansea City defender Ashley Williams.
Alan Pardew is willing to offer £5m and a rise on the Welsh international's current £15,000-a-week wages, according to The Mirror.
Newcastle are in need of a new centre-back after losing Steven Taylor to injury for the rest of the season.
Williams signed for Swansea from Stockport in 2008 for £400,000.
