Newcastle United are reportedly preparing a bid for Stuttgart defender Serdar Tasci.
The 25-year-old has attracted much interest following his impressive season in the Bundesliga, with Roma also understood to be preparing a move.
The German would cost in the region of £8m, according to talkSPORT, as he still has two years to run on his contract.
Tasci has 14 international caps to his name.
