Marseille winger Florian Thauvin has arrived in Tyneside ahead of a medical at Newcastle United, while Remy Cabella is going the other way, according to reports.
The 22-year-old winger signed for Les Phoceens in 2013 from Lille, making 67 appearances and scoring 13 goals for the South of France outfit.
According to The Guardian, Thauvin is set for a medical on Wednesday ahead of a £12m move, with Cabella rumoured to already be in Marseille wrapping up a loan deal with a view to a permanent transfer.
Newcastle have already signed Chancel Mbemba, Georginio Wijnaldum, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Ivan Toney this summer.
