Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has admitted that he has "no idea" over rumours that Demba Ba has agreed a deal to join Galatasaray.
It was reported on Thursday evening that the Senegalese striker was on his way to the Turkish club in a £9m move.
When asked if it was true, Pardew told BBC Sport: "I've no idea. All I know is that Demba and Papiss [Demba Cisse] were great for us last season and I hope they can be again next year."
Ba signed for the Magpies on a free transfer from West Ham United in June 2011.
