Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has insisted that it would take a big fee for the club to be tempted to sell striker Papiss Cisse.
Cisse has not scored a Premier League goal for the Magpies since April, but Pardew has revealed that he has no intentions of allowing the Senegalese forward to leave St James' Park.
The 52-year-old told Sky Sports News: "I am sure that, come January, a lot of teams will be looking at our situation, but they'd have to spend a lot of money to get him.
"I would suggest to any club, just look at Mike Ashley's record of selling players. Would it cost a hell of a lot? Correct."
Cisse's only goal for Newcastle this season has come in the Capital One Cup.
