Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has said that he is expecting the club to be busy in the summer transfer market.
The Magpies, who sold Yohan Cabaye to Paris Saint-Germain last month, will lose Loic Remy and Luuk de Jong at the end of the campaign when their loan deals expire.
Pardew has admitted that his squad will need to be improved before the start of next season.
"We are going to need at least two or three signings who come straight into that team or have a very, very good chance of starting," the Newcastle boss told TEAMtalk.
"I think we have got a summer where we are going to have to be a lot more active than we have been for a while because we are looking light in certain areas.
"The strikers are an area where that we are going to have to address, for sure, and we are going to have to find a replacement for Cabaye, so that's a big job in itself, let alone perhaps a couple of other positions that we might need."
Newcastle currently sit eighth in the Premier League table.
