Newcastle United are considering a January swoop to re-sign striker Andy Carroll from West Ham United, according to a report.
The 26-year-old left the Magpies in 2011 when he completed a £35m move to Liverpool, but struggled in his Anfield career before signing for the Hammers in 2013.
Slaven Bilic reportedly wants to retain the services of the England international, but Newcastle are ready to test their resolve with a significant bid when the transfer window reopens, according to The Mirror.
Carroll has scored once in seven appearances for the Hammers this season.
