Newcastle United have reportedly added Lyon's Samuel Umtiti to their list of summer transfer targets.
The Magpies are expected to make a number of additions at the end of the season, providing that Steve McClaren's men are able to retain their Premier League status.
Defence is the main area that will be bolstered, which has brought about the interest in Umtiti, according to the Newcastle Evening Chronicle.
The report adds that the 22-year-old, who is thought to be on the verge of a senior international call-up from France head coach Didier Deschamps, is rated at £10m.
Umtiti has made 27 appearances in all competitions this term, from which he has scored one goal.
