Reports suggest that Newcastle United would use money raised by the sale of Demba Ba to persuade Marseille to sell Loic Remy.

Newcastle United are reportedly interested in offloading Demba Ba in order to sign Marseille striker Loic Remy.

The Magpies have been unsuccessful with attempts to negotiate a new deal for the Senegal striker, who has found the net 10 times so far this season.

According to The Mirror, Newcastle are ready to let Ba leave and will use the funds to test Les Phoceens' resolve with a £10m bid.

Ba joined Newcastle in 2011.
