Burnley striker Danny Ings is wanted by Newcastle United, according to a report.

Newcastle United are reportedly lining up a bid for Burnley striker Danny Ings.

The 22-year-old has been in good form for the Clarets this season and has scored three goals in his last two games.

He is out of contract in June and would be free to sign a pre-contract agreement for another club from next month.

According to The Mirror, Ings has attracted the attention of Newcastle, who are preparing a move for the forward in the January transfer window.

Ings has scored 36 goals for Burnley since joining the club in 2011 from Bournemouth.
