MLS outfit New England Revolution are reportedly interested in bringing Newcastle United midfielder Cheick Tiote to North America.
The Ivory Coast international joined Newcastle from Twente in 2010 and quickly became one of the most consistent midfielders in the Premier League.
The 29-year-old has recently been forced to deny claims that he is a disruptive influence in the dressing room, however, and it is thought that his long-term future with his current club is in doubt.
According to The Sun, New England Revolution are preparing to approach Tiote's representatives over a move before the start of the new MLS season.
Tiote, who has just returned to the fold following a long-term knee injury, has 18 months remaining on his current deal at St James' Park.
