Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul has insisted that he will "work hard" in order to earn a place in the Netherlands squad for this summer's World Cup.
The 25-year-old was left out of Louis van Gaal's squad for Wednesday's international friendly against France.
"I've got to fight hard and work hard," the Shields Gazette quotes Krul as saying. "If we keep winning like this, hopefully I've got a chance. The manager said he's following 50 players up towards the World Cup, so everything is open."
Krul impressed in Newcastle's 4-1 win over Hull City on Saturday.
