Newport County have announced the appointment of Graham Westley as the club's new first-team manager.
It took the League Two club just over a week to bring in a new boss following the departure of Warren Feeney, who spent eight months at the helm.
Westley, who has been out of work since getting sacked by Peterborough United in April, received votes across the board during the hiring process.
A statement from Newport read: "Following the departure of Warren Feeney last week, the board of directors engaged with a number of potential candidates who had shown an interest in the vacancy and made contact with a number of figures, that fitted the profile of candidate the club was looking for, which included approaching Graham regarding the vacant manager's position.
"Collectively, the candidates were narrowed down to a shortlist, before proceeding to interview five candidates for the role of first-team manager. The board were unanimous in their decision to appoint Graham, due to his extensive managerial experience in the Football League."
Westley will begin his new role on October 10, with Sean McCarthy and James Bittner taking control of the team for Saturday's league match against Colchester United.
