Marseille manager Didier Deschamps has blasted his team's profligacy in front of goal following their 1-1 draw at home to Valenciennes FC.
Les Phoceens slipped further behind the leading pack after Alou Diarra's 16th-minute header was cancelled out by Carlos Gil's close-range effort in the second half.
Deschamps believes that his players did enough to win the game, but admitted that dropping two points at home is a hard pill to swallow.
"I am disappointed with the result given all the chances we had," said Deschamps. "We had a good first half but couldn't take advantage and get a second goal so these two points dropped is hard to take.
"In the past we have scraped some draws but tonight we had what it took to win. We wanted to win, we played well in parts and we owed it to ourselves to win.
"Unfortunately it wasn't the case, from Sunday I will start thinking about the Inter Milan game but from what I saw [tonight] we should have won this game."
Marseille remain fourth in Ligue 1 following Saturday's result, five points behind third-placed Lille.
