FIFA have announced that Markus Kattner has been relieved of his duties as acting general secretary with immediate effect.
The 45-year-old has been given his marching orders for financial breaches, as was also the case with the man that he replaced, Jerome Valcke.
"Kattner has been dismissed from his position effective immediately," read a statement from the world's governing body.
"FIFA's internal investigation uncovered breaches of his fiduciary responsibilities in connection with his employment."
Fatma Samoura has since been named as Kattner's successor.
