FIFA Honorary President Joao Havelange's condition has improved, according to a statement from the hospital where he is being treated.
The 95-year-old was admitted to the Hospital Samaritano in Brazil on March 18 with a "severe infection" and was stationed in intensive care.
It is understood that Havelange is now recovering well following antibiotic treatment.
The Brazilian presided over FIFA between 1974 and 1998.
