Former Manchester United winger Andrei Kanchelskis has blasted his fellow Russians in the Premier League for being too greedy.
Arsenal's Andrey Arshavin, Tottenham Hotspur's Roman Pavlyuchenko and Everton's Diniyar Bilyaletdinov are all currently plying their trade in England's top flight.
However, Kanchelskis believes that they are all too motivated by money.
"These days all the players are thinking of is money matters. And I see it as one of their major problems," he told the Express.
"All the three Russians in the Premier League had times when they played great football but such periods proved to be too short.
"If only our guys could show more stability, each of them could be leaders of their teams. Unfortunately, that is not happening. And it is likely that they will have to move back to Russia soon."
Kanchelskis spent four years at United in the mid-Nineties before moves to a number of clubs including Everton, Fiorentina and Rangers.
