Former Northern Ireland international Jim Magilton has been appointed by the Irish Football Association as an elite performance director.
The 44-year-old, who has had managerial stints at Ipswich Town and Queens Park Rangers, will be in charge of player development for both young boys and girls.
"Player identification and development is a key part of the modern game," said Magilton. "I am looking forward to getting started in my new role and working with all the young players in Northern Ireland."
Magilton will officially take up the role on July 1.
