Piacenza goalkeeper Mario Cassano has been arrested as part of an investigation into match-fixing.
The investigation relates to allegations of match-fixing in four games in the 2008-09 and 2010-11 seasons.
Piacenza's new sporting director Carlo Regalia has admitted that he doesn't know very much about the investigation, but has been told by the keeper that he is innocent.
"I don't know a lot about the situation, because I've only been here a month," he told Radio Sportiva.
"The player came here one day a few weeks ago and in that day he seemed me serene and he told me to be innocent.
"Worried for Piacenza? We've been already penalised for the last season's game with Atalanta, with four penalty points. When there is an involvement it's normal to be worried."
Piacenza could face a points deduction if Cassano is found guilty.
